Katherine “Kat” Yocum (she/her) is a storyteller who actually enjoys the editing process—which should tell you something about her attention to detail.

With an MA in Writing and a BA in English, she's spent her career crafting content that does more than fill space. Currently, she's a digital copywriter at an agency specializing in integrated fundraising for nonprofits, writing emails, web copy, and campaigns that move people to action (and open their wallets for good causes).

Before that, she worked as a copywriter, editor, and digital marketer across various industries. She's the person who notices when a brand's voice feels off, builds frameworks that actually make sense, and finds the narrative thread that makes everything click.

She brings a justice-minded lens to everything she writes. Whether she's crafting fundraising appeals or brand stories, she's thinking about who's missing from the conversation, how the work can be more inclusive, and how it contributes to a healthier planet.

When she's not writing, you'll find her at a local coffee shop, curled up on the couch with her cat, or making yet another bookstore run.
